What the Coaches are Saying...
Nov 17, 2014

“Howard Payne University is located in Brownwood, Texas which is in the West Central part of the state. Brownwood has about 20,000 people and is very supportive of their athletic programs at both the high school and collegiate levels. The region provides plenty of recreational activities and HPU is just minutes away from Lake Brownwood. HPU is a four-year Liberal Arts University with a wide variety of degrees to choose from. We are a Christian University that is affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas. We believe this to be a very important part of Howard Payne University. We compete in NCAA Division III and are a member of the very competitive American Southwest Conference. We believe the ASC to be the best D3 football conference in the country and an exciting brand of football. We are a multiple offense and a 3-4 defense.”
